We get occasional visits from bugs at home, and so far I have seen about three different kinds that I could not name. Spotting them and getting rid of them (using a chemical-free kind of extermination process called ‘angry mommy thrashing’) is one thing; and creating them is another.
My sister surprised Cole a Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker for his 10th birthday. We’d pass by these bug makers during our ritualistic toy store visits and on few occasions we stopped, looked at each other and agreed that we have enough of them thriving around us to even consider making more of them. We live in the Philippines where the weather is generally great-- and also a dream house for a good number of crawlers. So we’d move on to the next toy doing our usual viva voce toy reviews.
However, when the bug maker arrived on our doorstep, we could not help but rejoice in its presence especially that it had to travel across the world to find its way to our home. We’re more than happy to welcome the newest estimable member to our non-taxable properties (of which Nerf guns and wind TV are also members).
The only rule I have about our homemade bugs is that they should be out of Attika’s reach. Our six-month old has hands that move in lightning speed and anything she grabs goes directly to her mouth. That’s the last place I want to see any kind of bug in.
After we shook our hands over this rule, Cole started to work on his first bug.
And we shall name you...Bugsy the Bagsat III |
